About Us

What is Mobile Dustless Blasting?

Unlike sandblasting, which uses dry sand and creates dust, dustless blasting mixes water with an abrasive.  This process is designed to minimize the amount of dust left behind during the process and increase the energy employed by the blasting machine.  We are 100% mobile.  We come to you!

Is It really Dustless?

Yes it is!  Shark Blasting's machinery works by mixing water and abrasive inside the blast tank.  During the blasting process, the water encapsulates the abrasive and the coating is removed.   This process prevents the particulates from becoming airborne.  The trapped abrasive then falls to the ground.  This keeps surrounding areas clean and free from mess.  Unlike traditional sandblasting, which blows dry media around everywhere, dustless blasting creates no plume of dust.

How Does Our Process Work?

Using a combination of pressured water vapor and 100% silica-free crushed recycled bottle glass, Shark Blasting uses the most advanced and eco-friendly machine.  The glass media, water vapor and air pressure are all fully adjustable on our machine.  This gives our customers a variety of profiles to choose from.

Is Blasting Harmful To The Environment?

Our machines are eco-friendly. Our dustless blasting can be used to etch concrete without using acids!  Chemical etching is an environmental nightmare. Our innovative and powerful blast media is 100% environmentally inert.  We offer various medias such as 100% recycled glass, walnut, corn cob, sodium bicarbonate and other environmentally friendly medias.

Will It Warp Metal?

The dustless blaster will not cause warping, because friction and heat are reduced by the water.  Warping occurs when the metal heats up due to friction from dry abrasive.  In fact, the temperature of the metal being blasted usually comes down about 10º from ambient.  Think of it this way - if you rub your hands together, they get warm due to friction.  But if you rub your hands together underneath running water, they stay cool.  The water eliminates the friction.  Most people prefer this way of paint removal over sandblasting, since you eliminate the chance of warping the metal.

Why Are We The Best?

Shark Blasting’s method of removing unwanted paint or other particulates, is done with virtually no dust.  Using a combination of variable water pressure and 100% silica-free crushed recycled bottle glass, Shark Blasting uses the most advanced and eco-friendly machine available today.  Many other companies will claim their work is dustless, but unless they have a dustless blasting machine, they produce an enormous amount of dust.  Shark Blasting is licensed, bonded and insured!  Call Shark Blasting today!  (425) 256-2060

General information

Dustless Blasting Versus Pressure Washing

When you use our dustless blasting process we will remove the moss, mold, grime, dirt in a fraction of the time that a pressure washer can.  We use very little water compared to pressure washers.

We Use Very Little Water

Our method of using recycled glass with water reduces dust and water compared to a typical sandblasting machine or a pressure washer.  Pressure washers use a tremendous amount of water that can be absorbed into the ground which could cause damage to your foundation or crawl space.

We Use Different Medias

Whether you are needing anti foul paint removed from your boat or rust off an ocean vessel, we use the correct media for the job.  We use 100% recycled glass for most of the projects that we are called out on.  We also use walnut, corn cob, glass beads, garnet, starblast and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).

Safety Is Always A Priority

Our technicians have went through various testing classes with regards to safety.  We put technicians into classes that help both Shark Blasting and our customers.  They get in class training in Confined Spaces and Fall Protection.  We want your experience to be as comfortable as possible when you hire Shark Blasting for your project.

We Are Licensed

When using Shark Blasting you can rest assured that we have insurance.  We carry a 2 million dollar general liability policy.  We are also licensed and bonded.  We are the legitimate choice for your home or commercial project.  We are also available for working on a state, local municipality or government job.
